Daymon Morgan

Mr. Daymon Morgan, age 88, of Hoskinston, Kentucky, departed this life on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He is the son of the late Shafter and Alma Cornett Morgan. Daymon was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force. By occupation, he was a retired employee of Chrysler Corporation of Dayton, Ohio where he worked as a welder.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife: Betty Lou Brittan Morgan, one son: Waymon Morgan, one grandson: David Lee Bowling, and two great-grandchildren: Jesse Pavek and Zachery Schwartz.

Daymon is survived by: five sons: Lester Morgan of Eaton, Ohio, David Morgan Bowling (Dorothy) of Booneville, Kentucky, Daymon Ray Morgan of Hyden, Kentucky, James Morgan (Doris) of Waynesville, Ohio, Dale Morgan of Florida; two daughters: Cartha Merrill (John) of Danville, Kentucky, and Sally Morgan of Hyden, Kentucky; two brothers: Shafter Morgan, Jr. of London, Kentucky, and Carlos Morgan of Indiana; four sisters: Eula Caldwell of London, Kentucky, Effie Muncy of Hyden, Kentucky, Hazel Bowling of Hyden, Kentucky, and Marie Deaton of London, Kentucky. Eighteen grandchildren: Kenny, Cory, Tim, Kale, Jason Morgan, David Merrill, Lisa Pavek, Jason Kidd, Tony Morgan, Linsey Burns, Jessie Morgan, Teresa Miller, Ruby Stevens, Samantha Morgan, Kyle Morgan, Jeremy Morgan, Ricky Morgan, Daniel Morgan; A host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the Wolfe and Sons Funeral Home with Mike Estes officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan Family Cemetery, Bad Creek Road, Hoskinston, KY. The family will receive friends at the Wolfe and Sons Funeral Home from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. Monday.
Military Rites will be performed by the Leslie County D.A.V. at the graveside.
