Pete Scott, age 83, husband of the late Ethel (Sizemore) Scott, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019. Pete was born January 14, 1935, in Bryan, Texas.

Pete was stationed in Alaska and spent 8 yrs. in the Army.  He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sargent.  Pete worked for the Alaska Railroad and retired after 30 years.  He would share many stories about his time there.

Pete spent many hours with Ethel tending to the raspberry patch. He would also spend days making many handmade “Alaska theme” clocks, which he and Ethel sold. He enjoyed driving with Ethel to Potters Marsh to view geese and enjoyed whale-watching. He spent many hours wading in Cook Inlet and the Kenai River dipnetting to catch fish for smoking and canning.  Pete was a selfless man and could always be heard saying, “Whatever makes everyone happy.”
