Alan Douglas Asher

Alan Douglas Asher was born July 17, 1962 in Lexington, Kentucky to the union of the late Elihu C. Asher and the late Glenna Faye Wilson.  He was a Graduate of Leslie County High School and by occupation, Alan was a self-employed carpet installer and was a veteran of the United States Navy.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed riding ATVs.  He enjoyed his pet cats and attending horse racing at Keenland.

He departed this life on Friday, June 25, 2021 at his residence.  He was 58 years old.

In addition to his parents, Alan was preceded in death by his step-mother, Barbara Lucille Asher, and one sister, Vera Asher.

Survivors include, step-father, Harold King of Nicholasville, KY, two brothers, Phillip Asher of Nicholasville, KY and Glenn Asher of Stinnett, KY; two sisters, Tina Fields & Chris of London, KY and Rita Wooton & Rick of Hyden, KY; one step-sister, Vicki King of NC; half-brother, Jim Shackleford of Harrodsburg, KY, former wife, Karen Bramblett Asher of Versailles, KY; special niece & nephews, Lucy Wooton, Eli Wooton and Weston Turner. A host of other nieces and nephews also survive.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 01, 2021 from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. – at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
