B etty Gayle Hoskins Nicoletti of Cypress, Texas, departed this life on Thursday, September 3rd, 2020 at the age of 76. Betty was born on August 19th, 1944, in Hyden, Kentucky, to Harrell and Anna Lee Hoskins. Upon graduating high school at age sixteen, and later Eastern Kentucky University, she began working as a school teacher before age twenty. She then became a real estate agent and led a successful career for over 30 years.
Betty Gayle will be most remembered for her immense kindness and for always putting others first. She loved horses, particularly thoroughbreds, and the Kentucky Derby. She loved to garden, and admire beautiful plant nurseries and architecture. She possessed a wealth of knowledge on all subjects. She always had an interesting story to tell or silly joke to crack. She also loved to travel and visit her family.
Betty Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, Harrell and Anna Lee Hoskins, and second husband, Frank Nicoletti and brother -in-law, Roger Douglas.
She is survived by her daughter, Alissa and husband, Max Dingler of Houston, Texas and granddaughter, Ashley Dingler of Houston, Texas; her first husband, Arthur Hausberger; a brother and two sisters, Tony Hoskins and Joyce Berger of Reno, Nevada; Myrna and Chet Ballard of Valdosta, Georgia; and Deanna Douglas of Hyden, Kentucky. Also surviving are: niece and husband, Lisa and Doug Clark and daughters, Heather, Allison, and Rachel; nephew, Gary Douglas and Terry Bryant; niece, Katie and husband AJ Bowling and their son, Cason. She was also survived by her late husband Frank’s children and their spouses; Gayle and Clark Chelsey; Joyce and Tony Bendana; and Frank Jr. and Pat Nicoletti; as well as grandchildren and spouses, Nicole and Dustin Bennett, Anthony Bendana, Gabriella Bendana and Julian Chelsey, and great grandchildren, Ryder and Colten Bennett.
Funeral service for Betty Gayle Nicoletti will be held at 2 p.m. - Wednesday in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow in the Mosley Cemetery at Mozelle, Kentucky. The family will receive friends for visitation from 12 Noon until the service hour at 2 p.m. at the chapel.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Glenn Mosley, Jeff Mosley, John Begley, Matt Ritterholz, Gary Douglas.
Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
