Bobby Roberts

Mr. Bobby Roberts, of Hyden, Kentucky departed this walk of life on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY at the age of 62 years, 01 month and 06 days. Bobby was born January 15, 1955 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Bradley and Anna Lee Morgan Roberts. Bobby was also known to many as: Uncle Bob, Bobby Wayne, Bobby Chops, or Chops. In Bobby's formative years, he was a dedicated athlete, playing football from elementary to high school. He set many records during his sports career. In his past time, Bobby enjoyed playing pool, old cars and music. Bob was also a beloved caregiver to many family members, sincerely dedicated to helping them in any way. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Roberts, a sister, Bernadine Roberts and a nephew, Matthew Melton.

Bobby leaves behind the following relatives, a beloved brother and sister, Eugene Roberts and Helen Caudill, both of Hyden, KY; special friend & companion, Arbella Gray of Hyden, KY; also surviving are nine cherished nieces & nephews and a host of other family & friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, February 24, 2017 in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Eugene "Friday" Roberts, Roger Wolfe and Jerry Maggard officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Rockhouse Cemetery at Hyden. Friends may gather for visitation from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M., Thursday evening at the chapel.
