Brenda Roberts

Brenda Roberts, 52 of Hyden, Kentucky departed this walk of life on Monday, August 21, 2017 in London, Kentucky. She was born April 01, 1965 in Rogersville, TN to the union of the late Lula Reeves Powell and Earl Dean Powell. She was a homemaker and enjoyed painting, crocheting, crafts, traveling and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was commonly called Mamaw Tucky by a special granddaughter. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her step mother, Joann Powell, a daughter, Melinda Sue Greer and sisters, Peggy Sue Bentley and Lisa Lewis.

Survivors include, her loving and devoted husband, Pleasie P.J. Roberts of Hyden, KY; her father, Earl Dean Powell; two sons, Keith House (Tishy), and Robbie Anderson; two daughters, Krysten House (Matt) and Angela Absher (Chuck); step children, Patty Cornett (Rodney), Michael Roberts (Lisa), Kenneth Roberts (Mary Ann), and Dennis Roberts; one brother, James Powell (Cindy), and sisters, Tina Pittman, Karen Mullins (Denny), Jolita Arney (David), and Cindy Powell. Nine Grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.


Funeral services will be held at 1PM Friday in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Woods - Begley Cemetery at Dryhill. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour on Friday at the funeral home chapel.
