Brenda (Young) Stubblefield

Brenda Stubblefield was born May 15, 1948 in Harlan, Kentucky to the union of the late Otis Young and Eula Aurelia Young.  She was united in marriage to Dewey Stubblefield, Jr. on February 25, 1967 in New Carlisle, OH.  She spent most of her life in London, KY, employed by the Laurel County Board of Education where she worked as a Bus driver.  She retired in 2010 with more than 17 years of dedicated service.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She dedicated her whole life to her family.

Brenda departed this life on Saturday, January 08, 2022 at her residence in London, Kentucky.  She was 73 years old.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dewey Stubblefield, Jr.; one brother, Herman Young and a sister, Phyllis McKiddy.

Brenda leaves surviving, two beloved daughters, Michelle Mills (Stephen) of Bonnea, SC and Jennifer Vaughn (Clinton) of London, KY; five cherished grandchildren, Kaylee Pridemore, Hannah Pridemore, Trenton Mills, Shelbi Vaughn and Cameron Mills. A host of other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. – Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home chapel with Jack Todd officiating.

Interment will follow in the John North Cemetery at Hyden, KY with Trenton Mills, Cameron Mills, Wally Stubblefield, Tim Pridemore, David Stubblefield and Jim Campbell serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:30 until the service hour at 1:30 on Wednesday at the funeral home chapel.
