Burchell Pennington

Burchell Pennington age 78 of Smilax, KY passed away Friday, December 07, 2012. He was born on August 28, 1934 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Larkin Pennington and the late Sarah Fouts. He was a life long resident of Leslie County and by occupation was a retired coal miner. Burchell was united in marriage to his loving and devoted wife, Ida on June 10, 1965. Survivors include: His loving wife, Ida Pennington; Sons: Burchell, Jr. and Harold both of Smilax; 3 daughters: Christine Caldwell & Tony of Busy, KY, Jackie Lewis & Jerry of Smilax, KY and Lori Ann Eversole, which he raised as his own. 2 brothers: Ossel Day & Elaine of Yeaddiss, KY and Johnny Fouts of Hyden, KY. 1 sister: Ruth Ellen Fields & Lenville of Hazard, KY. 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 at the Cutshin Church of Christ with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis and Tommy Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis Cemetery at Yeaddiss, KY. The family will receive friends after 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the Church.
