Cammie R. Sizemore

Cammie R. Sizemore, was born April 21, 1969 in Perry County, KY.  She was the daughter of Bonnie Lewis Wilder and Bradley Sizemore.

Cammie graduated from Alice Lloyd College with a master’s degree.  She also attended the University of Kentucky.  Cammie spent her former years in Leslie County and was currently residing in Louisville, KY where she worked as a social worker.

Cammie had a great love for dogs, especially her favorite, Arthur.  She enjoyed making dog toys, working with dogs and dog rescue groups.  She also had a great love for her job and the children’s lives that she touched during her career.   Cammie was an avid reader and writer as well.

Cammie departed this life on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the age of 54.

Preceding her in death are her paternal grandparents, Frank & Sarah Sizemore and her maternal grandmother, Nancy Maggard.  One aunt, Hester Virling and three uncles, Reuben, Richard and Bobby Maggard.

Cammie leaves surviving her beloved parents, mother: Bonnie Wilder of Thousandsticks, KY, father: Bradley Sizemore of Hyden, KY, uncles, Donald Maggard (Sharon), Eugene Sizemore, Stanley Sizemore and Frank Sizemore, Jr.;  aunts, Imogene Dorman, Martha Roark, Nellie Wilkington, Sandra Barger, Carrie Sizemore and Cassie Davidson;  one very special aunt, Shirley Morgan; special cousin, Brandon Maggard (Bessie), special friends, Elizabeth Glass, Laura Beeler, Matthew Beeler, Jordan Beeler and Mitchell Davidson.  A host of other family and friends also survive her passing.

Funeral services for Cammie R. Sizemore will be held at 2p.m. – Monday, September 25, 2023 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Donnie Melton and Rev. Billy Joe Lewis officiating.

Interment will follow in the Reuben Maggard Cemetery at Cutshin, KY.

The family will receive friends from 6p.m. – 9p.m. Sunday evening, September 24, 2023 at the chapel.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
