Camsie Couch, of Hyden, Kentucky was born on August 24, 1939, in Leslie County, Kentucky. Camsie was the oldest of seven children to Pearl & Ella Sizemore Napier.  

Camsie dedicated many years of her life as a longtime former factory worker at Grote Manufacturing in Indiana. Her work ethic and commitment were commendable, leaving a lasting impact on those around her.  

Outside of work Camsie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was known for her love of family and cherished all family gatherings. Her warm personality and kind spirit touched the hearts of everyone she met.

She was a long-time devoted member of the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church. She was faithful in her attendance and her faith was unwavering.    

Camsie enjoyed hobbies such as sewing and quilting. She also enjoyed attending football and basketball games to cheer on her grandchildren.

On Monday, June 24, 2024, Camsie departed this earthly walk of life in Louisville, KY at the age of 84.

In addition to her parents, Camsie was preceded in death by her husband Woodson Couch, and a brother Clayton Napier. 

Camsie is survived by her adorned son Rod Davidson (Kristy) of Hyden, KY, her beloved daughter Louise Dent (Ron) of Jeffersonville, IN, and five cherished brothers: Otis Napier (Sylvia), Roy Napier (Donna), Daniel Napier (Nita), Pearl Wayne Napier (Sharon), and Lonnie Napier (Bertha). She is also survived by five treasured grandchildren: Candace Harrod (Patrick), Shane Abbott (Jessica), Emma Lawrence (Mike), Bradee Davidson, and Baylee Davidson; eleven treasured great-grandchildren; five treasured great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews who held a special place in her heart; along with other relatives and friends.

The funeral service to commemorate the life of Camsie will be held at 12 noon Sunday, June 30, 2024 at the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church with Ted Couch, Ronnie Wells, and Danny Napier officiating.

Interment will follow the service at the Jack Napier Cemetery at Thousandsticks, KY with Bradee Davidson, Shane Abbott, Mike Lawrence, Patrick Harrod, Shannon Napier Josh Napier, Matthew Napier and Luke Collett serving as pallbearers.  Anderson Osborne, Carter Osborne, Asher Osborne and Titus Napier will be honorary pallbearers.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 6p.m. - 9p.m. Saturday evening at the church.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
