Mr. Carl Letner age 88 of Crane Branch Road at Oneida, Kentucky passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday Morning. He was born May 02, 1924, son of the late Amos and Loretta Stultz. Carl was retired from Dayton Forge & Heat Treating in Dayton, Ohio. Carl was a veteran of World War II serving at Okinawa where he was an air plane mechanic in the Army Air Corp. He enjoyed playing music for the Lord, reading his bible, and considered the simple things in life as very important. Carl was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Dorthy whom he married April 14, 1947. One son Donnie along with two brothers and two sisters. Those surviving are four sons; David Letner of Marion, Illinois, Dallas & wife Simone of Dayton, Ohio, Dale & wife Sharon of Dayton, Ohio, Greg & wife Eva of Florence, Colorado; two daughters Linda King & husband Cohen of Dayton, Ohio, and Juanita Letner of Oneida, Kentucky. Along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday December 25, 2012 at the Panco Community Church, Oneida, Kentucky with Jerry Rice and Phyllis Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Oneida, Kentucky. The family will receive friends Monday, December 24, 2012 after 7:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Panco Community Church.
