Carl Osborne

Carl Osborne was born April 18, 1936, in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Billy and Jane Rice Osborne.  He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Thousandsticks United Methodist Church.  By occupation, Carl was a retired coal miner.  Carl was united in marriage to Mallie Gibson on July 21, 1956.  Carl enjoyed hunting and gardening.

Carl departed this walk of life on Tuesday, July 06, 2021, at the Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.  He was 85 years old.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by five brothers and seven sisters.

Carl leaves behind, his loving & devoted wife of 64 years, Mallie Gibson Osborne of Thousandsticks, KY, three beloved sons, Carl Osborne of Wooton, KY, Virgil Osborne and Ben Osborne, both of Thousandsticks, KY, two beloved daughters, Linda Sawyers & Tommy and Marlene Morgan & Richard, both of Stinnett, KY. Four cherished grandchildren, Scott Sawyers, Dustin Morgan, Alex Morgan and Carlie J. Osborne.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1P.M. – Friday, July 09, 2021, at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Robert Amundson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Carl Osborne Cemetery at Thousandsticks.  The family will receive friends for visitation from 6 – 9 P.M. – Thursday evening at the chapel.
