Carol Pollard

Mrs. Carol Pollard was born September 12, 1946 in Wichita, TX to the union of the late Ray Luna and the late Billie Ross Luna. She departed this life on Monday, October 01, 2012 at her residence. She was 66 years and 19 days of age. She had been a resident of Leslie County since 1971, coming from Wichita Falls, TX. She was residing at 05 Coon Creek Road, Wooton, KY at the time of her passing. By occupation she was a sales clerk at the Dollar General Store. Carol enjoyed fishing, hiking, traveling and site seeing. Mostly, she enjoyed the outdoors. Carol is preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law: William O. Pollard. Mrs. Carol Pollard leaves the following relatives surviving: Her husband: James D. "J.D." Pollard; 2 - daughters: Tama Moore and husband, Roger of Hazard, KY and Jamie Misra & Anirban of Lexington, KY; mother-in-law: Viola Wells Pollard of Wooton, KY; 2 - brothers: David Luna and wife, Cindy of Wichita Falls, TX and Daniel Luna of Dallas, TX; 4 - sisters: Carla Anderson of Garland, TX, Cathy Fairchild and husband, Larry of Wichita Falls, TX, Ginger Thornton of Wooton, KY and Wendy Stewart and husband, Howard of Wichita Falls, TX; 6 grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Carol Pollard will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. - Thursday, October 04, 2012 from the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Reynolds and Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in the Floyd Wells Cemetery at Smilax, KY. The family of Mrs. Pollard will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. - Wednesday, October 03, 2012 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
