Carolyn Sue (Hughes) Asher

Carolyn Sue Asher, 74, of Nicholasville, KY departed this life on Friday, June 10, 2022 at the Baptist Health in Lexington, KY.

Carolyn was born April 07, 1948 in Pontotac, MS, a daughter of the late J.D. and Ruby Raines Hughes.  She was a homemaker and was the wife of the late Joe Edward Asher.   Carolyn enjoyed being outdoors and working in her flower garden.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Edward Asher and two sisters, Sandra and Barbara.

Carolyn leaves surviving, one son, Joe Asher, Jr. & Bethany of Nicholasville, KY, two daughters, Dena Douglas of Danville, KY and Angela Clark & Rusty of Nicholasville, KY, one sister, Pam Plunk and one very special niece, Pam Joseph & Micheal of Bledsoe, KY. She is also survived by five cherished grandchildren, Brittany, Preston, Valerie, Haley and Braiden; eight cherished great-grandchildren, Kylie, Kayden, Kensley, Amberlee, Alyson, Brady, Alayna and Ashton.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Celebration of Life for Carolyn Sue Asher will be held at 2p.m. – Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Dry Fork Holiness Church at Helton, Ky with Jimmy Huff and Micheal Joseph officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dry Fork Cemetery.

Memorial visitation will be held from noon until the service hour at 2p.m., Friday at the church.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
