Cassie Lynn Smith

Cassie Lynn Smith was born June 04, 2009 in Hazard, KY.  She was the daughter of the late Amanda Fields Smith and Josh Smith.  Cassie was a student at W.B. Muncy Elementary, where she just completed the 6th grade.  Cassie was a loving soul, she loved fiercely with everything in her.  She liked music and wearing her band shirts.  She enjoyed drawing and swimming as hobbies.  She was excited for summer and getting the pool ready for swimming.   Cassie was an avid collector of funko pops and hot wheels, which she had a vast collection of.  She was a mommy’s girl! She always wanted to go and do everything that her mommy did.  Cassie loved her dog, Princess, as well as taking rides in the “old blue truck” with her “Bubby”, Brandon.  She was crazy about all of her grandparents, as well as her uncle Eddie and his cooking.

Cassie departed this earthly walk of life, along with her mommy on Friday, June 03, 2022, just one day prior to her 13th birthday.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Matt & Shirley Fields, Dennis & Marilyn Joseph, and Joe, Jr. & Mary Ann Hall.  She was joined in death by her mommy, Amanda Fields Smith.

Cassie leaves behind her beloved daddy, Josh Smith of Wooton, KY; her treasured grandparents, Tommy Fields & Jennifer of Wooton, KY, Melissa Fee & James of Hyden, KY, and Ben “Pappy” & Darlene “Nannie” Cooper of Glasgow, KY; Uncles & Aunts, Brandon “Bubby” Fields & Ashley and children, Peyton, Carson, and Jamison Fields, Joe Smith & Sondra  and children, Elizabeth Lindsey & Children, Becky Hill & Jariette and children, Katie Larue & Set and children, Tabitha Buchanan & Jesse, Chelsea, Caleb and Cameron Williams, cousins, Kynleigh, Kyler and Kyndrick Smith and Jaxtyn Williams,  special great-aunt & uncle, Aunt “Mae Mae” & Larry Lawson. A host of other family, friends and classmates also survive.

Funeral service for Cassie Lynn Smith will be held at 2p.m. – Thursday, June 09, 2022 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Jamie Roberts officiating and reading of the obituary by Brian Hubbard.

Interment will follow in the Smith – Fields Cemetery at Wooton, KY with Greg Sizemore, Hurlan Adams. Jonathon Raleigh, Brian Hubbard, Michael Fields, Brack Hensley, Marcus Gipson, Wayne Hayes, Joe Smith, Seth Larue, Eddie Fee, Kenny Collett and Quinton Morgan serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6p.m. – 9p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home chapel.
