Cinda Morgan

Cinda Morgan, 90 of Corbin, Kentucky, a former long-time resident of Hyden, Kentucky, went home to be with her Savior and Lord on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Baptist Health in Corbin, KY. She was born April 19, 1927 in Leslie County to the union of the late Lawrence and Verdie Simpson Smith. Cinda was retired from Nabisco Food Company. Cinda, along with her husband Raleigh, moved back to make Hyden their home after their retirement. For many years Cinda and Raleigh owned and operated the well known Dinner Bell Restaurant on Main Street in Hyden. Cinda was known for her great country cooking. She had been a resident of Corbin, KY for the past 17 years. Cinda enjoyed cooking, collecting dolls, making quilts and crocheting. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Cinda was preceded in death by her sibling, Ada Caldwell, Ernest Smith, Magnus Smith, Nell Combs, Jessie Helen Smith, James Smith, Gladys Smith, Louis Smith, Charlene Smith Hisle; one beloved grandson, William Mike Morgan.

Cinda leaves behind loving and devoted husband of 72 years, Raleigh Morgan of Corbin, KY; one son, William Douglas Morgan and wife, Karen of Brookville, OH; one daughter, Carolyn Morgan of Columbus, OH, two brothers, J.C. Collett of Cumberland, KY and Raleigh Smith of Midway, OH; one sister, Beulah Mary Hisle of Midway, OH; three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; a host of other family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, July 16, 2017 in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow Monday afternoon in the Forrest Hill Cemetery in Tip City, OH. Friends and family may gather for visitation from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M., Saturday evening at the funeral home chapel.
