Connie (Baker) Napier

Thousandsticks, Kentucky

Connie Baker Napier was born February 06, 1960 in Hazard, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Edford and Elsie Maggard Baker.  Connie was a life-long resident of Leslie County and was residing at Thousandsticks, Kentucky.  She was united in marriage to David Sheridan Napier on December 02, 1983.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Muncy Creek Baptist Church.  By occupation, Connie worked for Leslie County Health Department for three years.  In 1997 she went to work for the Leslie County board of education where she served as a secretary for the W.B. Muncy Elementary for more than 14 years.  She was an avid Facebook user where she enjoyed playing games and keeping up with her friends.  She enjoyed traveling and a trip to the beach.  Connie was always happy and had a great ability to make people laugh.  She always had a smile on her face and a genuine concern for others.

She departed this life on January 06, 2022 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center at the age of 61.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by a sister, Charlene Napier; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gillous and Lillie Osborne Napier and one nephew, Jeffrey Allen Sizemore.

Connie leaves behind her loving & devoted husband, David S. Napier of Thousandsticks, KY; two sisters, Anna Sue Sizemore (Vernon “Bull”) of Hyden, KY and Phyllis Napier of Dayton, OH; one friend whom she loved as a sister, Darlene Campbell.  Connie is also survived by a multitude of friends and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held at 1p.m. – Friday in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating.

Interment will follow in Sheridan Osborne Cemetery at Thousandsticks, Ky with Frank Wayne Baker, Frank Wayne Baker II, Kelly Campbell, Matthew Napier, Scottie Napier, Austine Sizemore, Charles Sizemore and Vernon “Bull” Sizemore serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6p.m. – 9p.m. – Thursday evening at the funeral home chapel.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
