Corbal Smith

Corbal Smith was born August 18, 1945, in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Woodard and Emily Collett Smith.  By occupation, Corbal was a coal miner on a strip job.  He had been a life-long resident of Leslie County and was residing at Asher, Kentucky at the time of his passing. Corbal was and avid fisherman and enjoyed watching “UK” Kentucky sports and westerns.  He departed this walk of life on Tuesday, June 08, 2021, at his residence.   He was 75 years old.

In addition to his parents, Corbal was preceded in death by his loving & devoted wife, Romaine Smith and one beloved son, Alvin Smith.

Corbal leaves behind, two beloved sons, Greg Smith of Asher, KY and Shawn Smith & wife, Kim of Mozelle, KY.  Other survivors include, two brothers, Fred Smith of London, KY and Kenneth Smith of Somerset, KY, two sisters, Annie Smith of Corbin, KY and Marie Smith of Corbin, KY, three cherished grandchildren, Cheyenne Smith, Riley Thomas and Katherine Thomas and one cherished great-grandchild, Mila Bell.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

Funeral services for Corbal Smith will be held at 1:00 P.M. – Sunday, June 13, 2021, at the Stinnett Gap Church of God with Geoffrey Roberts officiating.  Interment will follow at the Hoskins Cemetery at Asher, Kentucky.  The Smith family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. – Saturday evening at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home chapel.
