FUNERAL SERVICE: 1p.m. - Wednesday at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax, KY with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis & Rev. Brian Overbee officiating.

INTERMENT: Osborne Family Cemetery - Big Valley Road, Hyden, Kentucky

VISITATION: 11a.m.  until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the church.

Cynthia Rose Osborne, 64, of Hyden, Kentucky, formerly of Ypsilanti, Michigan, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 in Hazard, Kentucky.   Born October 10, 1954 of Clarence Osborne, Jr. and Bonnie Hudson, she resided in Michigan until 1992. Cindi attended Western Apostolic Bible College, Stockton, California from 1972 to 1974 and toured nationally with their chorale. She led the choir at Apostolic Faith Church in Michigan and directed a popular annual drama on the passion of the Christ. In 1987, Cindi joined the United Pentecostal Church Youth Corps and served as a missionary for four years in Zimbabwe and Bophuthatswana, South Africa. After moving to Kentucky, she earned an Associate in Arts degree from Hazard Community and Technical College with honors and multiple distinguished awards, served as President of the Student Government Association, Vice-President of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and was elected Student Representative to the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents.  Cindi earned a Bachelors Degree in Human Services Counseling with highest honors from Lindsey Wilson College in 2006.  She also served on the Hospice of the Bluegrass Advisory Board and as Choir Director at Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ in Smilax, Kentucky.  She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence Osborne, Jr. of Hyden, Kentucky and her nephew, Shawn Osborne of Ypsilanti, Michigan and is survived by her beloved mother Bonnie Osborne of Hyden, her brother Mark Osborne of Ypsilanti, her niece Kara Osborne of London, England, and her nephew Forrest Osborne of Brooklyn, New York.
