Dallas Gene Smith

Dallas Gene Smith, born July 27, 1943 in Boone County, West Virginia to the union of the late Velta Smith & the late Delilah Smith. He departed this life on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the Holston Vally Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. He was 67 years, 03 months and 25 days of age and was residing at 306 Robin Lane, Wooton, KY at the time of his passing. He had been a resident of Leslie County since 1972. He spent his formative years in West Virginia and Illinois. By occupation he was a retired coal miner. He enjoyed, hunting, fishing, four wheeling and gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Larry Smith and one sister: Betty Guy. Dallas leaves the following relatives surviving: His loving wife: Sunny Joann Smith of Wooton, KY, two sons: Dallas Gene Smith, Jr. & Sherry of Wooton, KY and Daniel Ray Smith and Brandy of Smilax, KY. One daughter: Pamela Smith of Wooton, KY. Four brothers: Greg Smith of OH, Dennis (Rocky) Smith of W.V.,Ronnie David Smith of Avawam, KY and Ricky Smith of OH. One half brother: Harold Booth of W.V., three sisters: Anita Cooper of W.V., Dottie Purselly of AL and Becky Adkins of OH. One half sister: Robin Booth of OH. Five grandchildren: Ashleigh Baker, Andrea Baker, Makenzie Smith, Darren Smith and Chelsey Smith. A host of other family and friends also survive.
