Mr. David Patrick Martin was born January 24, 1979 in Hyden, Kentucky to the union of Elsie Couch Martin Barger and the late David Martin. David was a life long resident of Oneida, Kentucky. By occupation, he was a tree serviceman, employed by the W.A. Kendall Co. David enjoyed hunting and fishing as his hobbies. David departed this life on Friday, May 23, 2014. He was 35 years of age at the time of his passing. He is preceded in death by his father: David Martin; Grandparents: Debbie Martin, Eugene Martin and Hilda Martin. David leaves surviving: his wife: Linda Martin of Manchester, KY; one son: Logan David Briant Martin of Manchester, KY; one daughter: Alyssa Nicole Martin of Oneida, KY; his mother: Elsie "Boochie" Barger (Edmond) of Saul, KY; his grandfather: Claude Martin of Oneida, KY; special uncles: Howard Couch (Jeannie), Denver Couch (Pat), Jr. Martin (Mallie), all of Oneida, Cecil Couch (Debbie) of Barbourville, KY and William Couch (Trish) of Berea, KY; special aunts: Kathy Romer (Mike) of Hyden, KY, D.J. Begley (Gary) of Oneida, KY, Ora Lee Miller (Randall) of Hyden, KY, and Leona Collins (Stanley) of Buckhorn, KY; A host of other family and friends also survive his passing. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Jerry Rice officiating. Interment will follow the services at the Granville Barger Cemetery at Saul, KY with the following serving as pallbearers: Howard Couch, Cecil Couch, Gary Begley, Randell Miller, Jake Isaacs and William Couch. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M., Monday, May 26, 2014 at the funeral home chapel.
