He graduated from Springboro High School in 1979 and attended the University of Cumberlands (formerly Cumberland College) in Williamsburg, Kentucky. His gifts were many including gourmet cooking, volunteering for special church projects (i.e. archive work), and hosting coffee hours. He was very talented and enjoyed flower arranging for church and hospice. One of his greatest gifts was his compassion and care for others, especially to the elderly, shut ins and neighbors. Some of David's varied interests included master gardening, upholstery, interior decorating, and house renovation. He was a general "just fix-it" kind of guy. He enjoyed domestic and international travel. He loved the theater and volunteered at Playhouse in the Park. He always dressed for occasions with themes and costumes.
