Delbert "Stick" Asher

Delbert "Stick" Asher, of Mozelle, Kentucky, departed this walk of life on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the age of 57. Born October 02, 1958 in Hazard, Kentucky to the union of the late George and Rebecca Muncy Asher. Delbert was a life-long resident of Leslie County with the exception of living in Ohio for a short time. He was a self - employed long-time truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, and working in his garage. In addition to his parents, Delbert is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Levi and Nancy Jane North Asher, maternal grandparents, Levi and Martha North Muncy, sisters, Phronia Mae Asher and Opha Mae Thompson.

Survivors include, his loving and devoted wife, Donna Asher of Mozelle, KY, one daughter, Susan Gwin (Tracy) of Hazard, KY, one brother, Pearl "P.J." Asher (Kathy) of Hyden, KY, two sisters, Ann Smith and Pliney Whitehead, both of London, KY, three special grandchildren, Drew, Autumn and Amber, special cousin, Johnny "Sled" Muncy, special nieces, Becky and Sierra, special sister-in-law, Darlene "Scarface" Jankowski of WI, special friend and hunting buddy, Danny Hoskins; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 06, 2016 in the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the family cemetery at Mozelle, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M., Tuesday evening at the funeral home chapel.
