Doris Ann (Asher) Lawson

Doris Ann Lawson was born August 31, 1956 in Hazard, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Edward and Barbara Walters Asher.  She was a life-long resident of Leslie County and by occupation, Doris was a retail manager for many years.  She was united in marriage to her loving and devoted husband, Kenneth Lawson, Jr. on December 10, 1974 in Hazard, KY.  Doris was a faithful, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  Doris enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.  Above all, she enjoyed her time with her grandsons. Doris passed from this life on Thursday, October 03, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.  Doris was 63 years old.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by special brother in law, Irvin Lawson; beloved mother in law and father in law, Kenneth and Shirley Lawson.

Doris leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Kenneth Lawson, Jr. of Hyden, KY; three cherished daughters, Karen Renee Lawson of Hyden, KY, Barbara Faye Lawson of Hyden, KY, and Christina Ann Begley & husband, James of London, KY; three brothers, Edward Asher, Jr. & wife, Micki of Middletown, OH, Randy Asher & wife, Belinda and Charles Asher, both of Hyden, KY; two beloved grandsons, Cameron and Mason.  A host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
