Earl Lewis

Mr. Earl Lewis, age 70 of Preachers Fork Road, Hyden, Kentucky, departed this walk of life on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Mary Breckinridge A.R.H. Born in Hazard, Kentucky to the union of the late Hayze and Eliza Couch Lewis. By occupation, Earl was a retired warehouse worker, working as a fork lift operator. Earl enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, wood working, fishing, four wheeling, and listening to his grandson play music.

Other than his parents, Earl is preceded in death by his wife, April Grubb; one son: Hayze Mcgrew Lewis; three brothers: Elmer, Bige, and Levi Lewis. one sister: Molly Ruth Lewis.

Survivors include, one son: James Lewis (Reva) of Hamilton, OH; one daughter: Melissa Kay Lewis (Ronnie) of Hyden, KY; one brother: Arlie Lewis (Connie) of Indiana; four sisters: Wanda Lewis of IN, Norma Jean Asher of Wooton, KY, Pauline Withrow of Hamilton, OH, and Loraine Coots of Wooton, KY; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of other cherished family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Sunday at the Rockhouse Baptist Church with Mack Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at the Grassy Gap Cemetery at Hyden, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation after 5:00 P.M., Saturday evening at the church.
