Edd Combs

Mr. Edd Combs, born July 10, 1940 in Hyden, KY to the union of the late Brack Combs and the late Opha Lewis Combs. He departed this life on April 16, 2011 at his residence in Hyden. He was 70 Years, 09 Months and 6 days of age and was residing at 60 Dorothy Lane, Hyden, KY at the time of his passing. Edd was a life long resident of Leslie County with exception of having lived in Philadelphia, PA in his formative years. By occupation Edd was a night watchman, being employed by Whitaker Coal Co. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening as his hobbies. He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers: Merril, Johnny, Jerry and Woodrow Combs. 1 sister: Dorothy McKnight. Mr. Edd Combs leaves the following surviving: His loving and devoted wife: Nancy Combs of Hyden, KY, 3 sons: Larry Combs & Karen of London, KY, Paul Combs & Wendy and Chucky Combs & Stephanie both of Hyden, KY. 1 daughter: Lori Combs of Hyden, KY. 1 brother: Dennis Combs & Bessie of Hyden, KY and 3 sisters: Carolyn Sandlin & Philmore of Hyden, KY, Linda Day of Hazard, KY and Edith Combs of Hyden, KY. 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends survive.
