Edward J. Asher

Mr. Edward J. Asher, born January 15, 1932 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Jackson and Bertha Feltner Asher. He departed this walk of life on Wednesday, July 03, 2013 at the St. Joseph Hospital, London, KY at the age of 81 years. He was a life long resident of Leslie County and by occupation he was a retired Coal Miner. Ed enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ed is preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Frances Coomer and one brother: Crafter Asher. Mr. Edward J. Asher leaves surviving the following surviving: His loving and devoted wife of 58 years: Barbara J. Walters Asher of Hyden, KY; Three sons: Edward J. Asher, Jr. (Micki) of Middletown, OH, Randy Asher (Belinda) of Hyden, KY and Charles R. Asher (Jan) of Hyden, KY; One Daughter: Doris Ann Lawson (Kenneth, Jr.) of Hyden, KY; Two brothers: Cova Asher of Thousandsticks, KY and Amos Asher (Evon) of Mozelle, KY; 13 cherished grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; Ed also leaves behind a host of Hunting buddies, other relatives and friends. Memorial services for Mr. Edward J. Asher will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. - Saturday, July 06, 2013 from the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. - Saturday, July 06, 2013 at the funeral home chapel.
