Ellen Jean Stidham

Ellen Jean Stidham, born July 21, 1938 in Johnson County, Kentucky. She was born to the union of the late Virgil Buell McKenzie and the late Mary Ellen Conley. Jean was united in marriage to her loving and devoted husband, David Stidham on July 03, 1963 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. She was a homemaker and a beloved and devoted member of the Hyden Baptist Church. Jean enjoyed going to church, canning, gardening, sewing, and working in her flower garden. Other than her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her step-father, Ray Bob Stapleton and one brother, Ora Everett McKenzie.

Ellen Jean Stidham leaves surviving, her loving and devoted husband, David Stidham of Hyden, KY; one son, David Wayne Stidham (Sandra) of Hyden, KY; one daughter, Barbara Westerfield (David) of Hyden, KY; two brothers, Eddie Lee McKenzie (Marie) of Louisville, KY and Wendell Dean McKenzie (Paulette) of Paintsville, KY; two sisters, Reda Vern Stapleton (William) and Shirlene Rowland (Mitchell), both of Paintsville, KY; two beloved grandchildren, Justin Westerfield and Marlena Westerfield; a host of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, church family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday in the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Wolfe and Doug Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Grassy Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. Saturday evening at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
