Elvata Saylor was born in Saylor, Kentucky to the union of the late Pearl and Myrtle Belcher Asher. Elvata was united in marriage to her loving husband, Sie Saylor on April 09, 1950. By occupation, Elvata was a former factor worker. She was also a homemaker, loving wife and mother. She was of the holiness faith. She served the Lord for over 60 years and enjoyed spending time with her family. Elvata passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Harlan Health & Rehab, she was 80 years of age at the time of her passing. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sie Saylor; son: Roger Saylor; sisters: Alice Napier, Helen Huff and Rinda Witt. Elvata is survived by three sons: Carl Saylor (Zenda) of Benton, TN, Silas Saylor, Jr. (Kim) of Wallins, KY and Michael Saylor (Sharon) of Bledsoe, KY; one brother: Joe Asher (Carroll) of Nicholasville, KY; two sisters: Annie O'Quinn of Bledsoe, KY and Sue Huff (Claude) of Ohio; six beloved grandchildren: Kim, Leslie, Stephanie, Brandon, Amanda, and Miranda; five great-grandchildren: Arliss, Aleeah, Tanner, Christyn, and Hunter; A host of other family and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the Dry Fork Holiness Church with Roscoe Asher officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Brown Cemetery at Bledsoe, KY. The family will receive friends after 5:00 P.M., Saturday at the church.
