Emma Miniard

Mrs. Emma Miniard was born January 25, 1933 in Grapevine, Kentucky to the union of the late George Ivey and the late Martha Hutchinson Ivey. She departed this life on Monday, October 01, 2012 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. She was 79 - years, 08 - months and 06 - days of age. She was a life long resident of Leslie County and was residing at 1155 Cutshin Road, Wooton, KY at the time of her passing. She was united in marriage to her loving husband, Mack Miniard on April 02, 1949. She was of the Church of Christ faith and was a member of the Smilax Church of Christ. Emma enjoyed playing bingo, sewing, quilting and cooking. Emma was a charter member and co-founder of the Wooton Volunteer Fire Department. Emma is preceded in death by her parents and 13 brothers & sisters. Mrs. Emma Miniard leaves surviving the following relatives: her loving and devoted husband: Mack Miniard of Wooton, KY; 2 -sons: Lonnie Wayne Miniard and Connie of Louisville, KY and Roger Wayne Miniard of Wooton, KY; 3 - daughters: Carol Jean Foutch of Paintsville, KY, Joan Williams and Larry of Wooton, KY and Janice Tyndall and husband, George of South Carolina; 1 - brother: A.L. Ivey of Middletown, OH; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Miniard will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. - Thursday, October 04, 2012 from the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Danny Day and Harold Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis - Creech Cemetery at Wooton, KY. The family of Mrs. Miniard will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. - Wednesday, October 03, 2012 at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
