Evyonne Brock

Evyonne Collett Brock was born January 05, 1960 in Hyden, Kentucky to the union of the late Ray and Dorothy Vanover Collett. She had been a life-long resident of Leslie County and was currently residing at Asher, Kentucky.

A beloved homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Evyonne, always put her family at the forefront of her life; spending quality time with those she cherished, especially her grandchildren.

She was a devoted Christian and was of the Holiness faith. Evyonne enjoyed attending church, praising her Lord in song and living her life for Him. 

In addition to her faith and beloved family, Evyonne found joy in Gardening and raising beautiful flowers.

Evyonne departed this walk of life on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Hospital, Lexington, KY at the age of 65.

In addition to her parents, Evyonne was preceded in death by five sisters Helen Hoskins, Flonie Mae Simpson, Carol Lynn Roark, Eva Dean Collett, and Annie Mae Collett.

Survivors include her loving & devoted husband, 47 years Lonnie Brock, to whom she wed on July 29th, 1977; Other survivors include three sons Lonnie Dwayne Brock of Asher, KY, James Brock of Asher, KY, and Johnathan Brock (Shelly) of Redbird, KY; one brother Ray Collett, Jr. of Asher, KY, and a half-brother Eugene Collett of Paducah, KY; six cherished grandchildren Jacob Brock, Karley Brock, Madison Brock, Thana Brock, Shay Brock, and Trenton Brock; one great-grandson John Mack Slover. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survives her passing.

The funeral service for Evyonne Brock will be held at 1p.m. Wednesday, January 29th, 2025 at the New Hope Community Church at Warbranch, KY with Denver Brock, and Mitchell Brock, and Eugene “Friday” Roberts officiating.

Interment will follow the service at the Rye Cove Cemetery at Warbranch, KY.

Friends and family may gather for a visitation after 6pm on Tuesday evening at the church.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
