Frances Marie (Couch) Gibson

Frances Marie Gibson, 76, of Paris Crossing, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on May 27, 1942 in Saul, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Pete Couch and Maude (Barger) Couch. Marie was married on Dec. 31, 1960 to Silas Gibson, who preceded her in death on May 21, 2016. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Marie loved to walk along the creek collecting arrowheads and various rocks. She also enjoyed her flower garden and collecting dolls. In addition to her husband and parents, Marie was preceded in death by two daughters, Elaine and Linda Gibson; three grandchildren, Patricia Marie Brooks, Jessica Lynn Richardson and Baby Bowyer; three sisters, Ellar Couch, Nora Covert and Edith Baker and six brothers, Eugene, Glenn, John, Nelson, Russell and Lovel Couch. Survivors include five daughters, Judy Smith (Joe) of Saul, Kentucky, Emma Brooks of Madison, Indiana, Sharon Richardson (Ricky) of Commiskey, Indiana, Mallie Jean Gibson (Claude Martin, Jr.) of Brutus, Kentucky and Regina Bowyer of Paris Crossing, Indiana; three sons, Daniel Gibson (Jane) of Scottsburg, Indiana, Boone Gibson of Deputy, Indiana and Arthur Gibson of Paris Crossing, Indiana; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Monday, September 24, 2018 at Coffee Creek Christian Church in Paris Crossing, Indiana with Brother John W. Couch officiating. Visitation: 11 am to 1 pm Monday at Coffee Creek Christian Church. Interment at Coffee Creek Christian Cemetery.
