Frank Bonnell Collett was born September 15, 1969, in Chicago, IL to the late Clyde and Elizabeth Mitchell Collett. Frank was a retired coal miner, where he worked for many dedicated years in the mining industry.
Aside from work, Frank was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the serenity of the outdoors.
Frank also enjoyed music and especially spending quality time with family and friends.
Frank departed this walk of life on March 13, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his beloved family. Frank was 55 years old.
Surviving is his loving & devoted wife to whom he wed on April 13, 1997, Charlott Collett of Hyden, KY; His daughter, Kayla Collett of Hyden, KY, two step daughters Marsha Brown (Dave) of IN and Rebecca Joseph (Thomas) of Hazard, KY, two brothers Ulysses Collett of AZ and Derrell Collett of Somerset, KY; three sisters Evon Traweek (Jeff) of AL, Veronica Heath (Matthew) of WI, and Ginger Heath (Ryan) of WI. Three step grandsons Jacob Brown, Cody Hamblin, and Charlie Hamblin; two step granddaughters Daisy Ann Brown, and Deliah Rose Brown. A host of other family and friends are also left behind to mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his stepfather Bernard Mitchell, one son Chad Smith and one brother William Terry Collett.
The funeral service to commemorate the life of Frank Collett will be held at 1pm Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home chapel with Brian Hubbard officiating.
Interment will follow in the Collett Cemetery at Essie, KY.
Friends and family may gather for visitation from 6pm until 9pm Tuesday, March 18,2025 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
