Margaret "Midge" Feltner, age 72 of Valley View road Essie, KY, passed away on Thursday, June 26, at her residence. She was the widow of the late Bobby Windon Feltner. She was born June 12, 1942 in North Vernon, IN, the daughter of the late Robert Earl Cornett and Frances Terry Cornett. She was united in marriage to her loving and devoted husband, Bobby Windon Feltner in 1966. By occupation, Midge worked as a social worker. Midge had a masters degree in Christian Counseling. Midge worked tirelessly for 4 years, along with her husband, Bob as volunteers at the Oneida Baptist Institute in Clay County after their retirement. She was affiliated with the Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church at Essie, Kentucky, Solid Rock Church at Hyden, Kentucky and New Hope Christian Outreach Center in Hazard, Kentucky. She worked and aided in the church's food ministry for some time. Midge enjoyed reading her bible, attending and being involved in the Red Hats. She also enjoyed social networking and having her daily devotion ministry. Other than her parents, Midge is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Bobby Windon Feltner; beloved sons: Russell Feltner, Billy Carrington, and Douglas Feltner; sister: Phyllis Reiff Survivors include: two sons: Brian Feltner and wife, Marilyn of Essie, Kentucky, and Richard Feltner and wife, Kari of Hamilton, Ohio; three daughters: Patricia Speicher of Hope Mills, North Carolina, Terre Williams and husband, Bruce of Enterprise, Alabama, and Vickie Lynn Howard of Hamilton, Ohio; a daughter in love: Angela Collett Feltner of Hyden, Kentucky; a host of cherished family, church family and dear friends also survive her passing. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday at the New Hope Christian Outreach Church at Gorman Hollow in Hazard, Kentucky with Mike Barnett, Bruce Williams, and John Pugh officating. Burial will follow in the Feltner Family Cemetery at Essie, Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. Sunday at the church.
