Garrie Morgan, 60, of Stinnett, KY, passed away peacefully at the Hospice Care in Hazard, Kentucky, on October 28, 2024, after a long illness. Born on July 17, 1964, in Shelbyville, Kentucky,
Garrie was known for his devotion to his family and meticulous care he took in his home. Garrie cherished the time he spent with his family, always prioritizing their well-being and happiness.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Polly North Tolson of Stinnett, Kentucky; two cherished daughters, Megan Hayes of Louisville, Kentucky, and Heaven Morgan of Hazard, Kentucky; a brother, Orville Edward Morgan of Shelbyville, Kentucky; a sister, Tammy Slone (Wade) of Isom, Kentucky; and a special friend, Regina North of Stinnett, Kentucky. A host of other family and friends also survive him.
His life was enriched by simple pleasures; he enjoyed listening to music and watching television, especially westerns. His dog, Jack, held a special place in his heart, providing companionship during the quiet moments of his life.
Garrie will be remembered not just for his neatness and attention to detail but for the love he shared with those around him.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Morgan; a brother, Johnny Morgan; and a sister, Sharon Gail Timberlake.
A graveside service to honor Garrie's life will take place on October 31, 2024, at the Taylor - Hagen Cemetery in Stinnett, Kentucky, starting at 1:00 PM.
Burial will follow at the conclusion of the services.
