Gary Howard

Gary Howard was born August 10th, 1962, in Hyden, Ky to the late Mitchell Eugene Howard and Dallie Howard. Gary was a lifelong resident of Leslie County. As his occupation, Gary worked as a self-employed mechanic.

He departed this life on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023, at the Hazard ARH Medical Center at the age of 61.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his sister Vanda Bowling.

Gary is survived by his children James Howard (Candi) of Campcreek, Ky, Johnathon Eugene Howard (Jordan) of Stinnett, Ky, and Whitney Howard (Andrew) of Hyden, Ky. One Brother, Larry D. Howard (Deborah) of Hyden, Ky. Three sisters, Gerema Daugherty of Hyden, Ky, Stephanie Jackson of Hyden, Ky, and Michelle Blaine of Torrance, Ca. Eight cherished grandchildren, Halley, Hagan, Landon, Rayleigh, Kenleigh Howard, Fallyn Baker, Devan Baker, and Cassidy Feltner. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Gary Howard will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 16th, 2023, in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Howard-Mosley Cemetery at Campcreek, Ky with James Howard, John Howard, Landon Howard, Devan Baker, Andrew Feltner, Derick Howard and David Hibbard serving as pallbearers.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
