George Mitchell

Mr. George Mitchell, born June 18, 1948 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Lester Mitchell and the late Gracie Coots Mitchell. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Hospice Care Center in Fort Thomas, KY. He was 62 years, 03 months and 04 days of age. He was residing at 1730 Banklick St., Covington, KY at the time of his passing. He was a former resident of Leslie County and by occupation was a self - employed carpenter. He enjoyed: Fishing, spending time with his daughter and his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents: Lester & Gracie Coots Mitchell. One son: Michael Mitchell, one brother: Ricky Mitchell and two sisters: Pauline Mitchell Cress and Melinda Mitchell. Mr. George Mitchell leaves the following surviving:His loving & devoted wife: Linda Boggs Mitchell of Covington, KY. His step-mother: Rose Mitchell, four sons: Steve, Keith, Brian and Timmy Mitchell all of Covington, KY. One Daughter: Julie Mitchell of Covington, KY. Five Brothers: David & Christine Mitchell of Yeaddiss, Ky., Everett & Carol Mitchell of Indiana, Larry & Mavie Mitchell of Yeaddiss, Ky., Jeff & Veronica Mitchell of Yeaddiss, Ky., Lonis and Marie Mitchell of London, Ky. Along with four sisters: Ann Mitchell, Kathy Shepherd both of Yeaddiss, Ky., Dallie Maggard & Carl of Wooton, Ky. and Betty & Junior Spurlock of Oneida, Ky. Also seven grandchildren Sarah, Ashley, Katie, Timothy Jason, Devian, Lauren and Megan Mitchell. A host of other special relatives and friends also survive. The following will serve as pallbearers: Adam Mitchell, Justin Mitchell, David Wayne Mitchell, Steve Hacker, Chris Howard and Freddy Paul Campbell.
