Mrs. Greta Pennington, age 65 of Hyden, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 01, 2015 at the Continue Care Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky. She was born October 02, 1949 in Johnson County, Kentucky to the union of the late Albert and Beulah Fields Howard. She was united in marriage to her loving and devoted husband, Bill on August 26, 1967. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Leslie County since 1984, moving with her husband, Bill from South Lebanon, Ohio. Greta was affiliated with the Hyden Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and being a loving wife and mother.

Other than her parents, Greta is preceded in death by one infant son, Brian Keith Pennington.

Greta is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 47 years, Bill Pennington of Hyden, KY; one son: Scott Pennington of Hyden, KY; one daughter: Vicki Day (Nathan) of Krypton, KY; two brothers: Paul Howard (Linda), and David Howard (Phyllis), both of Lakeland, FL; two sisters: Norma Horton and Barbara Howard, both of South Lebanon, OH; two cherished grandchildren: Emilee Eversole, and Jaxon Day. A host of other family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, February 05, 2015 in the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in the Pennington Family Cemetery at Wooton, KY. The Pennington Family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M., Wednesday evening at the funeral home chapel.
