Harlos Hacker, 78, of Stinnett, Kentucky was born July 05, 1945, in Leslie County, a son of the late Henry and Emily Collett Hacker. He was united in marriage to Thelma Hoskins on September 29, 1965, in Leslie County. Harlos had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. By occupation, he worked as a heavy equipment operator at a strip mine until retirement.
Appreciating the outdoors and all its beauty, he enjoyed many things the outdoors had to offer, especially wildlife. He was a skilled hunter and a fierce fisherman, always ready for the next big catch.
While he had other interests, one of his favorites was gardening. He planted all he could, working hard to make assure he had a great harvest and the biggest garden in the community.

In addition to his parents, Harlos was preceded in death by his brothers John, Ronnie Wayne, Lonnie Dean, Freddy, and Henry Hacker, Jr.
Survivors include his loving & devoted wife Thelma Hoskins Hacker of Stinnett, KY; two sons Timothy Hacker of Morehead, KY, and Brian Keith Hacker (Anna) of Stinnett, KY; one daughter Jennifer Hacker Mitchell (Ronnie) of London, KY; One brother James Hacker (Denise) of Stinnett, KY; two sisters Bonnie Barrett (Chester, Jr.) and Rita Brock, both of Stinnett, KY; five cherished grandchildren Brandon Keith Hacker, Breanne Wilson (Trey), Kiana Lynnae Mitchell, Chase Allenn Mitchell, and Brooklynn Leanne Hacker; three treasured great grandchildren Brayden Keith Hacker, Haven Taelynn Wilson and Nevaeh Breanne Wilson. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive his passing.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the Stinnett Gap Church of God with Geoffrey Roberts and Taylor Adams officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hacker Cemetery at Stinnett, KY with Brandon Hacker, Ronnie Mitchell, Chase Mitchell, Jonathan Hoskins and Trey Wilson serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday evening at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Additional visitation will take place on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at the church.
Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
