Harold Collett

Mr. Harold Collett of Essie, KY was born on August 30th, 1953, in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Willie and Loshia Collett. Harold departed this life peacefully on Thursday, February 6th, 2025, at the age of 71.

He enjoyed going to church, sitting on the porch with his dogs listening to the radio, watching westerns and most of all talking to friends and relatives. Harold was affiliated with Katie's Creek Church and Bowens Creek Church.

He leaves surviving the following relatives: one brother Anthony Collett (Juanita;) one half-brother William Collett (Mia); step siblings Raymonda Whitaker (James) and Alex Brock (Denisha) and Trilla Brock; one uncle Caleb Collett Jr; sister-in-law Chloe Collett; nieces and nephews Bobbie Collett, Jesse Collett & Sonya Brock, Kala Collett & Aaron Smith, Bessie Bond, Hargis Collett, Taylor Collett, Alex Collett, Cody Collett and Kimberly Collett; great nieces and nephews Anthony Jadon Collett, Waylon Hawk Nichols, Brooke Riley Holsten, Daniel Bond and Brianna Bond; special cousins Cledith Brown, Mary Brown, Dorothy, Loshia, and Mary from Indiana. Especially Dorothy who spoke to Harold on the phone every day; and special friends Logan Smith, Rodney and Abraham as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Loshia Collett, Willie & Laura Belle Collett; brothers Darrell Collett, Lloyd Collett, Bruce Collett and infant Hargis Collett; step siblings Clyde Edward Brock, Paul Wayne Brock, Jeffery Brock, Donna Jean Brock and Ronald Dean Brock; and one nephew Rex Allen Collett.

Family and friends may gather for a visitation Tuesday, February 11th, 2025, from 11a.m. to 1p.m. at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home. 

The funeral service for Harold Collett will be held at 1p.m. Tuesday, February, 11th, 2025, at the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Ralph Brown officiating.

Interment will follow the service at the family cemetery at Essie, Ky.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
