Harold J. Roberts

Harold J. Roberts, of East Bernstadt, Kentucky departed this walk of life on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Hill Crest Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corbin, Kentucky at the age of 65. Harold born born March 24, 1952 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Percie and Gracie Stubblefield Roberts. Harold was an alumni of Leslie County High School where he played football and was active in sports. By occupation, Harold was a heavy equipment operator, retired from Whitaker Coal Company. Harold was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed operating heavy equipment and landscaping. In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth, Bob, Tommy, John Charles, and Bill Roberts.

Survivors include his loving & devoted wife, Joyce Morgan Roberts of East Bernstadt, KY, two beloved step-children, Bill Adams & wife, Sandy of Berea, KY and Tina Lykins of Berea, KY, one sister, Judy Bentley of Manchester, KY, a very special brother-in-law, Willie Garrett Morgan of East Bernstadt, KY, a special friend, Dwight Morgan of Hindman, KY, four cherished grandchildren, Kassiea, Hayley, Nicholas, and Timothy, one very special great-grandson, Ayden Matthew; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, July 03, 2017 in the Chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral home with Willie Garrett Morgan and John Pugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan Cemetery at Hyden, KY. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 10:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M., Monday at the funeral home.
