Henry "Bear" Kilburn

Mr. Henry L. Kilburn, born Leslie County to the union of the late George and Birtha Kilburn.  Henry had been a life-long resident of Leslie County and by occupation, he was retired from Whitaker Coal Company, where he worked as a coal miner.  Henry passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the Mary Breckinridge A.R.H. Hospital.  Henry was 76 years old.

In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by one son, George Daniel Kilburn, one brother, James “Tug” Kilburn, and a sister, Alma Jean Baker.

Survivors include, two daughters, Kristine Kilburn (Elijah Walker) of Wooton, KY, and Sabrina Maggard (Patrick) of Cutshin, KY; grandchildren, Justin Sizemore, Austin & Maggie Lawson, Andrew Maggard, Shayleigh, Dalton Maggard, Hunner Maggard, Kutter Maggard, Gracie Maggard, Whisper Sizemore, and Cali Lawson. He is also survived by a special sister-in-law, Lorraine Boggs of Yeaddiss, KY and four very special friends, Ronald Feltner, Billy Wayne Baker, Jimmy Shepherd and Vernon Carr.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. – Friday, August 14, 2020 in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Russell Baker and Donald Kilburn officiating. Interment will follow the services in the Browning Cemetery at Wooton, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour at 2:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home chapel.
