Funeral: 1:00 P.M. – Wednesday at Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax, KY with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis and Danny Day officiating.

Interment: Kemper Family Cemetery – Hyden, KY with Full Military Rites by the Leslie County D.A.V. chapter #133.

Visitation: 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. – Tuesday evening at the church.

M r. Isaac Eugene Pennington of Hyden, Kentucky was born June 03, 1953 in Perry County, Kentucky to the union of the late Felix and Cora Browning Pennington.  He served honorably in the United States Army.  Eugene had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, Kentucky and by occupation was a coal miner, employed by Arch Coal Company.  Eugene was an avid fisherman and enjoyed any kind of work.  He was a caring person, always ready to offer a helping hand to anyone who was in need.  Eugene passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Mary Breckinridge A.R.H in Hyden, Kentucky.  He was 64 years old.

In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by four brothers, Felix, Jr., Jack, Doug, and Jerry Pennington.

Eugene leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Rhonda Kemper Pennington of Hyden, KY;  three cherished daughters, Lillian Natosha Pennington Helton (Tracy) of London, KY, Carrie Calhoun and Lida Collett (Billy), both of Hyden, KY;  one brother, Sckyler Donnie Pennington (Kim) of College Station, TX;  one sister, Patricia Hammons (Sam) of Richmond, KY;  five cherished grandchildren, Cody Wooton, Michael Kemper, Kayln Calhoun, Gage Collett and Holden Collett;   a host of other relatives and friends also survive his passing.
