James Begley was born February 19, 1973, in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Roger and Phyllis Diane Begley Madden. James was a life-long resident of Leslie County and was residing at Hoskinston, Kentucky at the time of his death. He was united in marriage to Chrissy Hensley on June03, 2001. He was affiliated with the Mozelle Pentecostal Church at Mozelle, Kentucky and by occupation he was a retired coal miner, formerly employed by James River Coal Company. James was also a member of the Stinnett Volunteer Fire Department. James cherished his family and the time spent with them. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed tinkering. Above all, he loved his children.
James in survived by his loving & devoted wife, Chrissy Hensley Begley of Hoskinston, KY, one son, James Begley, Jr. & Kamyron of Wendover, KY, one daughter, Chelsey Begley of Hoskinston, KY, two children he raised and loved as his own, Kasey Hensley and Sophia Asher, both of Hoskinston, KY; three children he loved as his own, Mahala Wilson of Mozelle, KY, Ramona Sexton and Matthew Morgan, both of Stinnett, KY. Other survivors include, two brothers, Christopher Sizemore of Hazard, KY and Triston Begley of Stinnett, KY, special brother-in-law, Michael Hensley, one uncle, Robert “Butch” Begley of Stinnett, KY, two Aunts, Carolyn Sizemore of Hazard, KY and Deborah Morgan of Stinnett, KY. A host of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, Stinnett Fire Department family, other relatives and friends survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. - Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at the Mozelle Pentecostal Church at Mozelle, KY with full firefighter rites observed. Billy Farmer, Coy Duff and Eddie Dean Hoskins will be presiding. Interment will follow in the Hardy Bottom Cemetery at Hoskinston, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation after 6P.M. – Tuesday evening at the church.
Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
