Janey B. MIddleton

Janey B. Middleton of Bledsoe, Kentucky was born July 17, 1951 in Beverly, Kentucky to the union of the late Archie Brock, Jr. and the late Effie Lefevers Brock. Janey departed this walk of life surrounded by her family on Friday, October 06, 2017. Janey was united in marriage to Mickey Middleton on August 02, 1969. By occupation, Janey was a Registered Nurse, employed by Harlan Appalachian Regional Health Care. She had a passion for being a nurse and enjoyed working. Due to her health, Janey retired after 18 years of service. After retirement, Janey pledged the majority of her time and heart to her church, the Green Hill Community Church. There, she served as treasurer and secretary for many years. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend.

In addition to her parents, Janey was preceded in death by her beloved son, Adam; three brothers, Herman, Johnny and Dwight Brock; one sister, Hester Sparks.

Janey leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 48 years, Mickey Middleton of Bledsoe, KY; one brother, Kermit Brock of Jackson, KY; four sisters, Ann Woods, Margaret Pennington, and Patsy Goddard, all of Bledsoe, KY and Donna Brock of Elizabethtown, KY; her caring pastor, David Spencer; Janey also leaves behind a host of other family, church family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Sunday at the Green Hills Community Church with David Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Brock - Sparks Cemetery at Bledsoe, KY. Family and Friends may gather for visitation from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M., Saturday evening at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home chapel.
