Interment: Davidson Cemetery – Davidson Fork Road, Thousandsticks, KY

Visitation: 10:00 A.M. – Friday until the funeral hour at 3:00 P.M.

Mrs. Janice Maggard, of Thousandsticks, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Hyden Health & Rehab at the age of 78 years – 09 months – 09 days.  She was born January 13, 1940 in Hazard, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Etna Bowling.  Janice had been a life-long resident of Leslie County and by occupation was a cook.  Janice enjoyed tending to her flowers and playing the game Yahtzee.  Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.  In addition to her mother, Janice was preceded in death by: a son, Osalee Maggard; a daughter, Connie Davidson;  step-daughter, Barbara Maggard; one brother, Junior Bowling; one sister, Kay Hammock.

Janice leaves behind her loving and devoted husband, Vilas Maggard of Thousandsticks, KY; two sons, Charlie Maggard & wife, Bobbie of London, KY, and Wayne Maggard & wife, Pam of Wooton, KY;  two step-sons: Jerry Maggard & wife, Marietta of Essie, KY, and Stanley Maggard & wife, Brenda of Somerset, KY;  a step daughter, Sharon Brown & husband, Wayne of London, KY;  nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
