Janina Tiernan, age 38 of Corbin, Kentucky passed away Tuesday December 03, 2019 at the Jean Waddle Care Center Hospice of Lake Cumberland in Somerset, Kentucky. Janina is the wife of Joe Tiernan of Corbin, Kentucky and formerly of Leslie County. She is the daughter of the late Scott Randy Smith and Kathy Bowling Napier of Burnside, Kentucky formerly of Leslie County. Born January 02, 1981 in Leslie County. She was married to Joe Tiernan on September 14, 2001 in Hyden, Kentucky. She was affiliated with the Christian Missionary Alliance Church.
Janina was preceded in death by her father, Scott Randy Smith and grandparents, Ford and Faye Bowling, Truman and Janice Smith, uncles, Paul and Billy Bowling.
Survivors include, her husband, Joe Tiernan of Corbin, Kentucky, Mother, Kathy Bowling Napier and Step father, Willie Napier. Sons, Jameson Alexander, and Maddox Reid Tiernan, and step son, Andrew Tiernan all of Corbin, Kentucky. Daughters, Caitlin Sierra Tiernan, Jasmine Brionna Tiernan of Corbin, Kentucky and step daughter, Chelsie Tiernan of Hyden, Kentucky. One step sister, Donna Napier of Ohio, Four brothers, Brandon Ford Mills (Ashtyn) of Moshiem, Tennessee, Scott Smith (Jeanne) of Middlesboro, Kentucky and step brothers, Jason Mills and Heath Napier of Ohio. One step sister, Donna Napier of Ohio. Special aunts, Hallie Bowling, Joann Harring, Linda Bowling, Wanda Powers, Debbie Turner, Dianna Mosley, Marrietta Smith. Best friends, Rachael Marie and Crystal Morgan, and special cousin, Kristy Powers.
Visitation and Celebration of Life will be held at the Wolfe and Sons Funeral Home Chapel on Friday December 6, 2019 from 11:00 A.M.till 2:00 P.M.. The family has entrusted Wolfe and Sons Funeral Home to handle all the arrangements.
