INTERMENT: Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ Cemetery – Smilax, KY.
VISITATION: 6-9p.m. – Friday evening at the funeral home chapel.

Jeff Pennington of Wolf Creek Road, Yeaddiss, Kentucky was born in Yeaddiss on April 02, 1932 to the union of the late Estill and Polly Joseph Pennington. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Jones on September 12, 1953 at the Solid Rock Bible Chapel at Coon Creek where he later became a member of the church in 1975. By occupation, Jeff was a retired factory steel worker, employed by Southwestern Ohio Steel Company for 22 years. Among Jeff’s many accomplishments, he was a founding member of the Coon Creek Volunteer Fire Department as well as the Leslie County Saddle Club, where he was an honorary member. He was a former owner of Pennington Grocery at Wolf Creek. Jeff was actively involved within the community as long as his health allowed him to be. He was a worker for the PRIDE cleanup, receiving two certificates of service. He received the L.B. Stacy Fire Fighter award at the annual blue grass festival. Jeff’s hobbies included, cracking walnuts, attending sporting events for his grandchildren, taking rides with his pet companion, “Ranger” and crushing cans. Jeff departed this life on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, he was 87 years old.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Evelyn Jones Pennington; three brothers, Pearl, Chris, and Wash Pennington; one sister, Mildred Ruth Coots and a great-granddaughter, Celeste Rosalee Walter.
Jeff leaves behind, three children, Bob Pennington & Linda, Ann Livelsburger, and Michael Hall & Kim, all of Yeaddiss, KY; two brothers, Dillard Pennington & Lucille of Lebanon, OH, and Bill Pennington & Ida Mae of Yeaddiss, KY; one sister, Lucy Onorato & Jeff of Leesburg, FL; six grandchildren, Kristy Davidson & Rod, Amanda White & Earl, Samantha Walter & Casey, Shelly Carlson & Daniel, Renee Hall & Skyler, and Ronnie Aaron Dillion & Shaylen; great-grandchildren, Bradee, Baylee, Masin, Payzlee, and Hunter; special nieces & nephews, Jamie Luttrell & Krystal, Joy Luttrell, Jennifer Shepherd, and Shawn Luttrell & Kassidy; his pet companion, “Ranger”. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
