Jewels Harris

Jewels Harris, born April 25, 1943 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late I.D. Harris and the late Polly Jane Williams Harris. He departed this life on Wednesday, February 09, 2011 at the Mary Breckinridge Hospital. He was 67 years, 09 months and 15 days of age and was residing at 137 Jed Hill Road, Yeaddiss, KY. He was a life long resident of Leslie County and by occupation was a logger. Jewels enjoyed reading his bible, playing the guitar, going to church, metal detecting and ginsenging. He is preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers: Luther, Logan, Curt, Cecil, Denver, Robert and Floyd. One sister: Joyce Sumner Jewels leaves the following surviving: His loving and devoted wife: Bonnie Cornett Harris of Yeaddiss, KY, three sons: Ricky and Jimmy Harris of Yeaddiss, KY and Andrew Harris & Nikki of Hazard, KY. One daughter: Janie Boggs & Glenn of Yeaddiss, KY. One brother: K.D. Harris & Wilma of Yeaddiss, KY. 3 sisters: Bessie Caldwell of Leatherwood, KY, Kathy Harris Shepherd of Hyden and Linda France & C.B. of Yeaddiss, KY. Seven grandchildren and a host of many other family and friends also survive.
