Mr. Jim Willingham, age 62 of Cumberland Gap, TN, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Claiborne County Hospital in Tazwell, TN. He was born June 26, 1949 to the union of the late AJ and Bobbie Willingham. Jim was a former resident of Denton, TX. He was a United States Army Veteran, holding the rank of specialist five. He received the follow metals while in the service: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry w/palm, Armed Forces Expeditionary Metal (Korea), Republic of Vietnam Campaign medal, Good Conduct medal clasp, Bronze 2 Loops, Army Commendation Medal w/1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Vietnam Service Medal w/ 1 silver service star and 1 Bronze Service Star. By occupation he was a truck driver and was later employed by Wal-Mart. Jim enjoyed the outdoors, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Jim Willingham leaves the following relatives surviving: His fiancé : Daisy Brock of Cumberland Gap, TN, one daughter: Darby Edelman of Douglas, WY, one God daughter: Emily Grace Parsons of Middlesboro, KY, two brothers: Gregory Willingham and Billy Willingham both of Denton, TX, two sisters: Vickie Allen & Shelly Gray both of Denton, TX. Two grandsons: Andrew and Nick Edelman both of Douglas, WY.
